The mitten things weren't for me though. It's probably slightly warmer than the Klamath & it gets bonus points for the pocket and the facemask if you're using more for hunting. Got the Klamath in solid for mid layer / everyday & I like the fit & feel better personally. But First Lite doesn’t seem to have a lot of sales, so the price is pretty terminal whereas Sitka seem to have sales quite often. Apr 4, 2020 · I prefer the Klamath hoody as a mid layer versus the furnace. The furnace works well as a tree stand base layer for me but not as a mid layer. The Klamath is a grid fleece where the furnace is a merino base layer. The furnace is a little heavier and doesn’t dry out quite as quickly as the Klamath does. . Klamath is a lite grid fleece that goes well over the kiln or lighter base. There's definitely warmer or heavier midlayers out there than the Klamath but it's good for active hunting or as an outer layer in mild conditions. I like the Peloton better as a midlayer.
