2006 Kawasaki stx 12f. Ski has a total of 58 hours on it, one day it started smoking just out of nowhere not steam, smoke. So changed plugs checked oil level made sure everything was good and the ski drove fine. Then all the sudden started smoking again. Thought maybe had over filled it with oil so drained it.. Listen and see if you hear it actuate about 4 seconds after the engine shuts down. If you don't hear a ratcheting/buzzing kinda noise then it's bad. Expensive but an easy fix..
