The 507K is either going to require a adapter plate that 0.045" thick or grinding down the 2 rear recoil lugs as well as shorting the front recoil lugs about 0.010" to use it without the adapter plate. The 507K only has cutouts for the front recoil lugs. In 2019 when I purchased my SIG P365XL, it could be paired with a Romeo Zero optic or Holosun 407k/507k. You do not need the rear pins that came with Max-9, the 507k doesn't use them. Check that the screws are not bottoming in the holes. Page 39 & 40 in the Max-9 manual have the instructions for mounting an optic. I own both the holosun 507k and the new sig romeo zero elite. I've put both on and both are fine on it but, the better one is the 507k. I can see the top of the front iron through the dovetail, but that is about it. It would work in a pinch. I haven't upgraded my front iron and don't intend to, but I've heard about people recommend sig's xray3 and ameriglo also makes sights that fit sig p-series dovetails.Absolute shows the sight body present in about 50% of the optic window, occasionally at the same level with where the dot optic will show, depending on zero. Obviously the Holosun is also going to be new and with no track record but Holosun as a company has an excellent record for solid, reliable red dots and I expect the 407K/507K will continue that record.
